In today’s world, the weak are being preyed upon by ruthless people. they only care about themselves. — for example, the man occupying the chair behind the desk in the Oval Office. He is a shining star when it comes down to be shamelessly ruthless. He is the one that will always be on the prowl for someone with little or no self-confidence.
Therefore, being self-confident in this day and time is a valued asset to possess.
Fortunately, I have always been very self-confident. Speaking up is one of my strengths.
When I was young and still home with my parents, I couldn’t help myself and wound up in hot water most often. Because I was so self-confident that I would tell my father, he was mean and hateful and let him know that he was wrong.
Boy did he get so mad, and tried unsuccessfully to beat my ass. He was never able to beat me cause I was not going to stand there like a fool I took off running around furniture, one time my dad tripped and fell. By the time he got up, I was already hiding behind my BIG MAMA.
See, he knew where I was. Within minutes there, he was at Big Mama’s door; however, he was a bite agitated still. So she would say JB, don’t come in here with all your cussing, leave this child alone. My daddy knew not to mess with Big Mama, so he did exactly that. Once the booze was out of his system, he turned back into a mild-mannered man. Then I went home.
Anyway, as I got older, my self-confidence got even stronger as I encountered many conniving, ruthless people.
More importantly, I found the courage, strength, and faith in myself. I did so by just being true to myself.
However, periodically I ran out of gas and needed to refuel. See just as a motor vehicle runs low on gas; so does your mind, body, and spirit. That’s when I needed a tank full of positivity.
I found that reading quotes and the Bible would give me that boost of confidence again.
Living your life in a complicated world is stressful, and can strip your self-confidence. Sometimes when this happens, changing your thinking pattern would give cause you to look at things differently.
Quotes give you a realistic view of you are not alone, and there is someone else in the world going through, or perhaps have gone through the exact difficulty as yourself.

Noble and great. Courageous and determined. Faithful and fearless. That is who you are and who you have always been. And understanding it can change your life because this knowledge carries a confidence that cannot be duplicated any other way.― Sheri L. Dew
