Have you heard

Have you heard—Facing widespread pushback, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos doubled down Sunday on her call to fully reopen schools and have children return to “learning full-time” in person by the fall — an effort that has also been championed by President Trump.  read more

In the words of Elbert Einstein:

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.

In case you don’t know it, Betty DeVos, don’t care about the health and well-being of the children or education.  What really matters is making a political point for her boss, the dictator in-charge sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office in the White House.

Even though evidence shows that the definition of “normal” has already changed forever and that the pandemic has deeper implications than these stupid asses will admit. They continue to ignore what is really happening here.

In fact, when the school doors open again, how in the hell do these ignorant assholes know that the parents are sure they’ll be ready to send their kids back to school?  Furthermore, what makes them think they have any say so in the matter?

Have You Heard ?

Oh hell, I forgot…you gonna withhold FUNDS! Go figure!

By and large, the following question must be answered, before any child steps back through the doors of a school. The excerpts below are from an article I read:

What’s up in the air?

The biggest thing is the health concerns. To open safely, you would want to have testing. You would want to be able to take people’s temperature as they enter the building. You would want to be able to identify people who had some kind of symptom, and then you’d want to be able to ensure some kind of testing. I don’t think it’s clear at this point that it’s in place. The second thing is contact tracing and some way of isolating and quarantining people who test positive. They’re working on the logistics because it’s expensive and it’s something that has to be done across 1,800 schools in New York.

Then you’ve got to make sure that social distancing is maintained not just in classrooms, but any other school space. You don’t want kids in gyms or cafeterias. You have to make sure everybody who enters the building has a mask. They’d be asked to bring it. But as we know, many children won’t. Some adults will forget. That has to be arranged for everybody who walks into a school. You also have to be very sure that you are maintaining oversight and operational management to make sure that if you have any problem, you’re able to address it. read more
