Guess what…the January 6 riot is not talked about in the news as often as it did when it happened eight months ago. However, during this time, several rioters have been tried and sentenced. Hence…they all should plead guilty because their faces and actionsAMP were plastered across the news outlet.

And they have NO defense…none whatsoever.

Anyway, the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law brought the suit on behalf of the officers against former President Donald Trump, his campaign, associate Roger Stone, members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, alleging that “their unlawful efforts culminated into the attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The suit alleges that because Trump and his associates targeted minority communities in their allegations of election fraudAMP, the attack on the Capitol drew white supremacists who hurled racial epithets.

The case, filed this week, alleges that the defendants desecrated the federal terrorist group Act ;

And, therefore, the D.C. Bias connected Crimes Act shields victims of prejudice against political violence and intimidation.

All of the propagated false claims of fraud inspired the utilization of force, pressure, and threats Of violence against members of Congress.

The capitol law enforcement officers’ job was to safeguard them from the brutal, physical assault of those who actively planned, aided, participated in the attack.

Consequently…In addressing supportersAMP before the attack, the lawsuit alleges that Trump knew that the crowd would react violently.

The lawsuit states that Black law enforcement officers protecting the Capitol were assaulted, threatened, spat on, and subjected to racial slurs.

One attacker marched through the Capitol’s halls carrying a Confederate flag, a symbol of white supremacy and racism.

Other attackers brazenly displayed other symbols of white supremacy, flashing white power hand symbols and displaying anti-Semitic imagery and slogans on their clothes.”

The officers are seeking unspecified damages.

“We joined the Capitol Police to uphold the law and protect the Capitol community,” the seven officers said in a statement released by the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

The officers said they sustained physical injuries. An African American officer identified as Officer Fortune said he was called the N-word by numerous Capitol rioters.

“He had to force his way through the attackers and injured officers to join his unit,” the suit says.

“When he arrived at the Capitol, he saw that it was like a war zone, with chemical fog in the air, tables flipped, statues defaced, feces on the walls, and blood and broken glass on the floors.

In short, the outcome should be swift and hit Trump and his posse in the back pocket hard.

About …Me, Myself and I

Essie Beaman

Well, I entered this world in 1955, I've journeyed through it, I've experienced loads of discomfort, taken a few tumbles, even had a butt-breaking incident, and encountered a TBI. In addition, I struggle with feelings of depression and anxiety. But hey, at least I can laugh about it all!
