The Gangsta-Thug Narrative: Who’s affected…2?

The Gangsta-thug …image and enthusiastic embrace of society’s stereotypes are the most pressing problem facing African-American males. 

When they see you, it’s shameful that the hue of your skin defines who you are in the eyes of the world; (the police)for sure. (You are an abomination!)

And so…the rules of law don’t immediately pertain to you.

In most atrocious ways, you are guilty until proven innocent. Then again, that part…until proven innocent never comes into play.

Gangsta-thug

Why? Because you fit the Gangsta-thug narrative! Therefore, there is no need to look elsewhere for the guilty other.  

Perhaps, some of you have spent years in prison for a crime you never committed. In short, thirty years later, DNA proves…YOU WERE INNOCENT!

But…in the eyes of the prosecutor…

You were seen as suspicious. People distrust you because your black or brown skin and foreign accent make you difficult to understand. 

So you are guilty as charged…the DNA lied!

It’s a shame…no matter how hard you work, you will never be given the same opportunities as your white counterparts. 

For the most part, if you are from another country, you are a second-class citizen, and if you are black…you are a Gangsta Thug!

This blog post explores how words such as thug, thuggery, and thuggish are biased to stereotype Black people and other minorities based solely on their appearance or origin…rather than any real evidence of threatening behavior.

According to Dr. Jones, about 70% of non-Hispanic, Black kids are born to parents who are not married. We’re in a new world right now, where you don’t have to be married to be committed to each other. You can be there as parents in the same household,” she says. “Even though we have the antiquated stereotype of ‘the unwed mother,’ it doesn’t reflect today’s world and it doesn’t mean they are unpartnered. And the partner can be a very strong part of their life, conveying the message that they are there to stay.”

MYTH: Black dads are not stable family men.
There is a narrative that has spread through Black communities and is perpetuated in the media’s depiction of Black fathers, but Dr. Jones says the data is saying something different. “Over the last couple of decades, the CDC has found that Black non-resident fathers are more actively involved in their children’s lives than other non-resident ethnicities, share responsibilities more frequently and display more effective coparenting than Hispanic and White fathers; this strong involvement is driven in part by the status of Black fathers’ relationship with the child’s mother” she says.

Deadly Arrest of Black Men—When Does It Stop?

Well, here we go again—Deadly arrest.  Please tell me when does this stop? Another incident of a police officer involved in a deadly arrest of a black man, this time in Minneapolis.

Moreover —this is a very unnerving situation. Why it is so dam hard for police officers black and white to just do their jobs, with compassion and humility? Criminal are human beings and should be treated in a more respectable way. Especially when they are subdued and in handcuffs!

Video of the incident shows that a white police officer had a black man pinned to the ground white police officer had a black man, identified as George Floyd, pinned to the ground next to the back tire of his patrol car with his knee on the man’s neck.

“Please, please, please I can’t breathe,” the man begs. “My stomach hurts. My neck hurts. Please, please. I can’t breathe.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced the termination of the officers involved Tuesday and said it was the “right call.”

Four Minnesota officers have been fired following the arrest of a man who died Monday night after being pinned to the ground by an officer who put his knee on the man’s neck for about eight minutes.Watch video here

Mother of black man killed while jogging can’t bring herself to watch video of shooting.

The grieving mother of a black jogger who was shot and killed by two white men while out on a run in Georgia said she has not been able to watch the newly surfaced video showing the deadly confrontation.

They Should Be in Jail For the Shooting!

Father gave his version of events After the shooting, Gregory McMichael told police he saw the same man “the other night” and that he stuck his hand down his pants on that occasion, leading McMichael to believe he was armed, according to a Glynn County Police report.

Citizens Arrest…Why?

In a letter to police, George Barnhill , one of the district attorneys who has recused himself from the case and who saw the autopsy report, wrote that Arbery sustained three wounds during the struggle for the gun.

Without A Doubt…

Two Black Men that shoots a White Person…

They would be sitting behind bars and not walking around. This was a classic case of  another African American man being subjected to this  kind of blind justice. For being BLACK. Their excuses are BULLSHIT.

They had no right to go after this young MAN…damn…damn…damn!
