JUST BE YOURSELF!

“Don’t let others box you into their idea of what they think you should be. A confined identity is a miserable way to exist. Be you and live free. Trust that in living true to yourself, you will attract people that support and love you, just as you are.”– Jaeda deWalt
Be yourselfROAR …JUST BE YOURSELF!

I have decided that at this point …in my life, it is no longer necessary to impress anyone. You can either like me as I am…or leave me the hell alone; if you decide you don’t like me, it’s your loss …not mine. I will always be me.

The best advice you can give to someone is “Just be yourself.” But what if you don’t know who myself is? Even if you did, do you have the courage to follow them blindly into a dark room with no idea of what’s going on inside?

Moreover…wouldn’t it be better for me to pray that my selected self has some light-up shoes or something so that at least there’s a chance they know where they are going?

Let me tell you; it’s a huge deal! Being yourself means being your most authentic self, not just when people are watching but all of the time. It’s hard work and often uncomfortable, but once you get into the habit, it’ll become second nature and more accessible than ever before.

Here are some tips for those who want to take on this challenge:

It’s a common misconception that you’ll be safe from the world if you put on a mask. In reality, it’s just another way to show how vulnerable we all are and how easy it is for people to take advantage of us.

I’m not saying that putting on a mask is never good – especially when your skin is feeling dehydrated in the wintertime – but I am saying that we should all work towards embracing our true selves and accepting who we are.

Here are some tips for those who want to take on this challenge:

You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” -Maya Angelou

“ Be yourself, don’t take anything from anyone, and never let them take you alive.”– Gerard WaBeing yourself quotes

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”– E.E. Cummings

“God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.”– William Shakespeare

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.”– Friedrich Nietzsche

Hey why not “JUST BE YOURSELF”

You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. It may be necessary to meet the failures, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” — Maya Angelou

“Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failures along the way.

The real test is not whether you avoid this failure because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere.” — Barack Obama

Giving An Act Of Emotional Sensitivity

“Your days are numbered. Use them to throw open the windows of your soul to the sun. If you do not, the sun will soon set, and you with it.”
― Marcus Aurelius, The Emperor’s Handbook

Giving
One of the exceptional emotional sensitivity in the world is giving. The positive energy is contagious. Subsequently, just one act of kindness can inspire others to go out and lay the groundwork for spreading happiness through giving.
The greatest gift of all is the ability to share our blessings; the ramifications of the act is what makes life so meaningful. However, in today’s world, some people tend to be very selfish and don’t want to show kindness toward someone that may be down. It’s sad because it is not always about the giving of money and material things.
The end result of giving is the fulfillment and a life of prosperity. There is a wise old tale that says, “The more you give, the more you will receive.” Over the years, I had made a habit of giving to others–even when it meant I would have less for myself or less time to do the things I needed to do.
Guess what? I did it anyway.

Before giving, the mind of the giver is happy; while giving, the mind of the giver is made peaceful; and having given, the mind of the giver is uplifted.
Buddha

Just think what the world would be like if there were more givers–than takers in the world; giving their all to aid in the creation of a better society.
People need to stand up and start adding value to other people’s lives by being of service and living selflessly. You get what you give. The good you put out into the world will return to you in overabundance.

“What does one person give to another? He gives of himself, of the most precious he has, he gives of his life. This does not necessarily mean that he sacrifices his life for the other—but that he gives him of that which is alive in him; he gives him of his joy, of his interest, of his understanding, of his knowledge, of his humor, of his sadness—of all expressions and manifestations of that which is alive in him.
In thus giving of his life, he enriches the other person, he enhances the other’s sense of aliveness by enhancing his own sense of aliveness. He does not give in order to receive; giving is in itself exquisite joy. But in giving he cannot help bringing something to life in the other person, and this which is brought to life reflects back to him.”
― Erich Fromm, The Art of Loving
