Its Time to Stop!

It´s time to stop
Big Meadows Lodge in the mountain of Shenandoah National Park .

It’s time to stop… waiting for people who won’t return! If they don’t want the same things as you, it makes sense that they would walk away.

Here, you deserve better than someone who can’t or won’t commit and watch how much better your life becomes without them.

If they genuinely don’t want you in theirs, then the less time you spend with them is better for both of you.”

But make sure you have an honest partner…some that know how valuable you are. “It’s Time To Stop”

I recall Gloria Gaynor recording a song called “I Will Survive” in the 1980s…the music resonates with many people who have lived through hell and back because of toxic relationships.

Anyway, the song sounds like this…

At first, I was scared and petrified.

I could never live without you by my side, I thought.

Then, having spent so many nights thinking about how you did me wrong;

I grew strong and learned how to get along.

So you’re back from outer space…I walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face…

I should have changed that stupid lock and made you leave your key. If I’d thought for just one second, you’d be back to bother me.

Get on now, walk out the door. Just turn around now… you’re not welcome anymore.

Did you think I’d crumble? I’d lay down and die…

As long as I know how to love, I know I’ll stay alive.

I’ve got all my life to live and all my love to give.

It took all the strength I had not to fall apart, then.

I kept trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart.

I spent many nights feeling sorry for myself and crying.

But now I hold my head up high, and do you see me?

 Somebody new.

I’m not that chained-up little person still in love with you.

So you felt like dropping in and just expected me to be free.

I’m saving all my love for someone who’s loving me. Weren’t you the one who tried to break me with goodbye?

I’ve got all my life to live and all my love to give. I will survive…

OH MY GOD…

The song was/is powerful and inspiring to me. There is so much emotion, respect, confidence, and pride in it.

Qualities we all need to possess when confronted with another person’s secret plan.

Whether infidelity or growing apart, the injured person may crumble and break into pieces when the manipulative, dishonest person says goodbye.

With this in mind…if someone wants to walk out of your life, let them. There’s no need to beg and plead for their company.

Simply put…if a person wants to leave you, it’s okay to let them go. Unfortunately, it won’t be easy…but you’ll make it through the storm.

Everything will be fine.

It’s funny how things change and how suddenly, it seems like there are more critical things in this world than waiting for someone that doesn’t care about you anymore or wants to be in your life.

A life-changing moment occurs when you let go…life moves pretty fast anyway.

So don’t let yourself get held back. Dis remember them before? It’s too late!!

The less time you spend with the person who doesn’t want you in their life, the better it will be for both of you.

That sounds like a good idea, right? It’s not that easy for me, though.

I was once one of those people who could not say goodbye without crying and begging for a second chance.

It’s time to stop..

That’s no longer the case; I’m glad to report. I have discovered my strengths through self-discovery and gained the courage to admit that I would be just fine without him in my life.

Letting go of all the baggage in a toxic relationship was the best thing I ever did. I have no regrets.

In Conclusion :

I’ve been in a toxic relationship for years. The emotional abuse and the mental manipulation took their toll on me.

Nothing made sense; everything was out of control. But then, one day, I woke up and realized that it didn’t have to be this way anymore.

It wasn’t worth it to waste my time trying to make things work with someone who couldn’t even see how much they were hurting me;

Or why we weren’t happy together; all he cared about was continuing his own selfish agenda at any cost to anyone else involved – including me.

So instead of sticking around for more hurtful words and actions like usual, I decided enough was enough and left him behind forever (or so I thought).

Anyway…

Things You Should Never Lie About!

TO YOUR
DOCTOR

Things

Things you should never lie about“It’s no secret that as we age, our health takes a beating. And the truth is that even if you don’t feel like there are any changes in your physical condition, it doesn’t mean you’re not experiencing some serious developments. So what should you never lie to your doctor about after 40? Let’s take a look.”

Your Age

Your doctor might mistake those hot flashes as a symptom of hyperthyroidism instead of a sign of menopause.

Your Drinking Habits

Things you should never lie aboutExcessive drinking can cause many health issues that range from heart disease to hepatitis—but the more honest you are about your drinking habits, the better your odds will be.”

Your Family’s Medical History

When you talk to your doctor, you should disclose your family’s medical history—genetics plays a significant role in your physical and mental health.

Your Medical and Surgical History

Everything from allergies to medications to previous surgeries can impact a doctor’s diagnosis and prescribe treatment.

Your Mental Health

“Your physical and emotional pain have more in common than you think. Per one study published in The Primary Care Companion to the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, physical symptoms that commonly accompany depression include joint pain, back pain, and stomach problems.”

To begin with, the only thing worse than knowing something is wrong with you (and possibly having to go through treatment) is finding out later when it might be too late.

So… give your doctors all details of your medical history so that they can do a better job when diagnosing and treating your problems. It can be challenging to talk about these issues and sometimes need prompting from patients. (So don’t withhold information.)

You see, lying to your doctor is never a good idea. As a matter of fact, if you are over 40, it might be time to start telling the truth about your medical issues.

Your Smoking History

“According to the American Cancer Society, lung cancer primarily occurs in older individuals, with the average lung cancer diagnosed at about 70 years old.” And even if you are a former smoker and no longer touch tobacco, you should still let your doctor know.

Final Thought,

Proverb

it’s wiser to be cautious than to be hasty or rash and do something you may regret later.

(a stitch in time saves nine)

How To Celebrate Veterans Day !

You gotta useveterans' day

Honoring Veterans

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it… it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” – Unknown

“For the veteran, thank you for bravely doing what you’re called to do so we can safely do what we’re free to do.” – Unknown

“The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here.” — Abraham Lincoln

Veterans Day is here, and I’d like to thank all the veterans who have served our country.

That said, I would like to show appreciation and thank you on behalf of all Americans during this time.

Starting with all the military vets in my family:

  • Sgt Jesse Beamon, Jr… United States Army…deceased
  • SFC Earnest J. Caldwell…Army
  • Airman Cherry Crayton…Iraq War…Air Force
  • Petty Officer Robert Beamon …Navy
  • Airman Kenneth Beaman…Air Force
  • Sgt Charlie Caldwell…Army…Deceased
  • Sgt Judge Amos…Army…World War 2…Deceased
  • Lt. Linda Lewis…Army
  • Sgt Charlie Walker…Army…Vietnam War…Purple Heart Recipient
  • Sgt. David Beamon…Army
  • Sgt. Cynthia Bradley…Army…Deceased
  • Lt. James Beaman…Air Force

On this Veterans Day, we celebrate our veterans for their service to our country.

In honor of them this year, I wanted to share some reasons it’s essential to take care of your health while serving in the military.

One reason is that more than half of Americans who served in Iraq or Afghanistan after 9/11;

Experienced some traumatic event —while they were overseas—that can lead to mental health problems like PTSD down the road if not dealt with properly.

Another reason is that veterans experience homelessness at a disproportionately high rate compared to the rest of the U.S. population, according to The Veterans Department.

There are more homeless veterans in Los Angeles County than anywhere else in the country.

In addition, Department of Housing and Urban Development stats show 37,252 veterans were experiencing homelessness in January 2020.

Of those veterans, 3,681 or 10% lived in Los Angeles.

Veteran homelessness increased in 19 states and Washington, D.C., between 2019 and 2020, with the most significant increases in California, Nevada, and Delaware. California accounted for 31% of all homeless veterans in the country.

Even tho…Veterans Day is a day to commemorate those who have served in the United States military;

And…

We have celebrated it since 1919, after President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed November 11 as Armistice Day after World War I ended on November 11 of that year.

However…

It is not enough…some lost their lives; others lost body parts and suffered brain injuries. Returning home in a coffin or wounded, broken and confused.

Simply put—

This country must do more than have parades and other celebrations that do little or nothing to better living, provide jobs, and end homelessness for veterans.

Veterans Day celebration was to honor veterans for their service and sacrifice… and it is shameful how these men and women are ignored.

In conclusion…Read more

I hope you will take the time to thank a veteran today and every day.

We must continue to honor those who have served this country in uniform by serving our communities as best we can.

And it’s also essential for us to find ways of honoring them, not just on November 11 but throughout the year.

With food drives, fundraisers for veterans’ charities, or even inviting them over for Thanksgiving dinner.

They deserve nothing less than our complete “gratitude and appreciation.”

Listen/read the article at the link below…it is heartbreaking to hear this veteran describe his journey after serving.

Take A Jaunt…Or You Can’t Live Your Own Life.

“Don’t let the expectations and opinions of other people affect your decisions. It’s your life, not theirs. Do what matters most to you; do what makes you feel alive and happy. Don’t let the expectations and ideas of others limit who you are. If you let others tell you who you are, you are living their reality — not yours. There is more to life than pleasing people. There is much more to life than following others’ prescribed path. There is so much more to life than what you experience right now. You need to decide who you are for yourself. Become a whole being. Adventure.”

Roy T.Bennett

live your own lifeLive your own life. Live the way you want to live it, not how other people think you should be living it. What makes you happy? Is there anything that is stopping you from being happy right now?

Also, have you ever felt like your life is following a script? Like you’re playing out the role of someone else’s perfect plan?

Because of this, we have to live our lives somewhere — according to our plan, even tho we don’t always make the best decisions for ourselves.

Or…

Sometimes, we find ourselves in a rut and can’t figure out how to get back up again.

In all probability, we may feel like we’ve lost sight of who we are and what’s important to us as time goes by. There’s nothing wrong with that, but sometimes it feels nice to live our own lives.

By the way…

If we don’t do something for ourselves, then who will? I mean, not always-sometimes we need to be selfless-but let’s try not to be so selfless all the time.

It’ll make us more content people in general!

It takes patience’s and time to take control and start living the life of your dreams by following these simple steps:

1) Stop worrying about what everyone else thinks.

2) Do something different every day, even if nobody notices but yourself.

3) Be brave–put yourself out there! You never know who might be watching…

And so…

If you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve been neglecting your life and now need a little help getting back into the swing of things.

In that case, I’m here to tell you that as hard as it may be, live your own life. Go outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Hence…

Meet new people who will make an impact on your future. And most importantly- have fun! For those of you who are already living your best lives, thanks for sticking around!

This blog post is for everyone else out there who needs a little advice from time to time.

Final thoughts…

You can’t live anyone else’s life. If you want to enjoy the ride on your terms, make sure that no one tells you how to drive it.

We all deserve happiness, but we also deserve time with ourselves, so don’t let others tell you otherwise because nobody knows better than yourself!

Be an example for others. Live your own life and choose to be happy! Read more

Right-Mindedness Copious Amounts2!

Right-mindedness

Right-Mindedness—-Do you know the old saying “honesty is the best policy”? Well, it’s true. It’s so important that we should never lie about anything ever again. So here are some things you definitely shouldn’t lie about:

1. Your age – Nothing good comes from lying about your age, and why would anyone want to do that, anyway?

It just makes people suspicious of you, and then they’re going to think they’re in their 30s when they look like a 23-year-old with sun damage!

2. How much money you make – If someone asks how much money you make, don’t say $75K when it’s $35K because chances are they will find out, eventually.

Right-Mindedness

We all lie, but the biggest lies are the ones that people tell themselves.

I’m not talking about little white lies or exaggerations to make yourself sound cooler; I mean things you should never lie about.

For example, if someone asks how many sexual partners you’ve had and you say five when it’s fifteen… you’re lying to yourself.

If your significant other asks if they look fat in their new dress and you say no because they do look like a beached whale in it… you’re lying to yourself.

Do you get my drift? This blog post will list some of those big-time lies that we need to stop telling ourselves so we can live our lives more honestly!

Anyway

Let’s start with number one from the Readers Digest article found at: https://www.rd.com/list/things-should-never-lie-about/

Again…

Don’t lie about your income on tax returns.

Who doesn’t want a refund at tax time? Just don’t get carried away thinking that a fib here and there could land you more money.

Take it from the noted tax gurus at H&R Block: They say that telling lies on your return could lead to being audited, losing out on future tax credits, and spending time and money for legal assistance.

Besides, there are better ways to save money on your taxes: Be sure to take these tax breaks you’ll regret not claiming.

Don’t lie about your assets during bankruptcy.

If you end up in this unpleasant bind, says Debt.org author Bill Fay, don’t hide assets.

“If you purposely leave out assets or income when trying to help your qualification, your case could be dismissed,” he writes.

In short, he suggests being honest, noting that bankruptcy deceptions rarely go unnoticed. Need financial help? Check out these money-saving tips that you won’t learn from a financial adviser.

Don’t lie to your doctor about treatment.

If your doctor prescribes a treatment—whether a pill, physical therapy, or diet change—it’s for a good reason.

“We give patients the tools to help them heal,” says Dr. Torbeck.

However, he says that some patients who are supposed to apply a steroid cream have lied about usage, so it’s no surprise they still itch in affected areas.

“It’s important for patients to help themselves too,” he says.

To look at this another way…Right-Mindedness

There are a lot of lies that people tell throughout their lives, but there are some lies that you should never lie about. These lies may make your life much easier, and they will always help you in the long run.

In Short… Right-Mindedness

We all lie sometimes. It’s not like you should tell the truth every time, that would be exhausting, and no one wants to hear it.

Some lies are necessary for survival or even just for convenience’s sake. But there are some things you shouldn’t ever lie about because doing so will only end in disaster – trust me!

If any of these sound familiar, stop lying now before your life is ruined (or at least make sure someone else knows what you’re up to).

The great enemy of the truth is often not the lie–deliberate, contrived, and dishonest–but the myth–persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often, we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears.

We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.
