I DARE YOU TO BE YOURSELF 2!

I dare you to be yourself. I know it’s a bold statement and a little out there, but let me explain why this is important.

The world has told you not to be yourself for so long that you’ve started believing it.

Think about it: when was the last time someone said, “Be who you are?” or “Just be yourself?”

You probably can’t even remember because of how often people tell you what YOU should do instead of just letting you do your thing!

For example, have you ever been told that your style isn’t appropriate for work?

Well, good news! Now is the time to break free from those chains and show people who YOU are. Who knows? Maybe they’ll like it.

I dare you to be yourself. I i dare you to be

Low self-esteem affects many people. For example, the color of your skin or your weight may contribute to it.

A variety of traits and experiences shape a person’s identity.

Yet…each of us interprets them differently.

A good example would be ethnicity. In many cultures, skin color is an essential aspect of identity, although minimal in others.

Color plays a relatively important role in the United States; The One Drop Rule | Who is Black in the U.S.?

In addition, people divide the color into black and white based on whether they have African roots.

It’s called the one-drop rule.

The one-drop rule was popular in the South, which stated that a person was black simply by having a single drop of black blood.

It was also known as the “one black ancestor rule.

Initially derived from the American South, this definition has become the nation’s definition, accepted by whites and blacks.

However, there was no other choice for the black community.Read More

 That said,

The fact is, it doesn’t matter what color you are, your gender, straight or gay; it’s who you are that matters.

So…Why should you have to hide who you are just to be accepted?

Be yourself, and dare the world to love you.

There is no one else in this world exactly like you, and there never will be again.

Meanwhile, there may be people similar to you, but what makes each of us different?

  • It’s our experiences,
  • Our memories,
  • All those little quirks that make us unique.

Ending: So today, I challenge you to find yourself.

I dare you to be yourself. Read More

That’s right, and I’m challenging you to be who you are and not try so hard.

Too many people try too hard to look good, act cool, and do the right thing all the time.

That’s exhausting!

Why not just let your hair down now and then like Beyonce (since nobody does it better)?

Go ahead… be yourself without worrying about what others will think or say. You got this!

The idea of rejection may weigh heavily on your mind… Being rejected may prevent you from coming out.

Make sure that nothing or anyone makes you feel unimportant because you are different.

It’s unlikely that some people will cease their negativity, lies, insults, and putdowns soon.

Final thoughts:

It would help if you always were yourself. People will either accept you as you are or leave you alone.

Be your silly self without worrying about what people will think or say about you. After all, …You got this!

Thanks for reading! i dare you to be

Be sure to come back soon.

Dare To Be You… IN A WORLD OF 2 MANY PEEPS!

VANITY OF MIND AND BLINDNESS OF HEART 2!

Vanity Is A Dirty Word!

In fact, the mind’s vanity is a dangerous condition that can lead to corruption and decay.

Minds exist primarily for self-expression.

Vanity… is a dirty word!

I want to preface by saying that I will not be offended if you stop reading this post.

That is because it is about people’s blindness, vanity, and mindlessness blinded by love or lust.

If that doesn’t interest you, then there’s no reason for you to continue reading.

But if it piques your interest, please read on…

In contrast… Songs about the blindness of the heart and the vanity of the mind are sung at weddings across the country.

It says, “Love is blind.” So when someone falls in love, they cannot see anything wrong with their partner, even though they might have apparent flaws (and sometimes deal breakers).

People think this happens only once in a lifetime, but I don’t see it this way.

Minds exist primarily for self-expression.

The mind’s vanity is a dangerous condition that can lead to corruption and decay.

This obsession with oneself leads us down a path where our thoughts, words, or deeds become nothing more than an expression of feelings with no purposeful intent behind them;

A sad disguised as wisdom!Vanity of mind

What are the results?

Focusing on what you’re going through instead – which will only make things worse over time since those emotions are only temporary.

The vanity of the mind…

Similarity… It means everything and nothing; It can be an end by itself, but it’s more often just private thoughts with no real purpose.

They don’t go anywhere because you’re thinking only of your emotions instead of what would make the best choice for others, too (hopefully).

Likewise… Corruption is frequently a byproduct of vanity, and history shows that one thing after another gets worse over time:

For example…

  •  As violence increases, crime rates also rise exponentially.
  • Trump is still president because people began believing conspiracy theories such as they rigged the 2020 election.
  • George Bush carried out 9/11 instead of Al Qaida-so why do we see no advances in the situation?
  • The mind exists primarily for its own sake.
  •

Vanity keeps a persons in favor of themselves who are out of favor with all others.

Shakespeare.

Be open to the truth… Don’t be blinded by love or controlled by vanity.

Vanity is a spiritual disease where we become self-absorbed in our appearance and abilities.

Many people believe one cannot be blind to the truth, but many facts exist.

In either case, the human mind can become so focused on its basic concepts that it refuses to see a different point of view.

In Conclusion:

The blindness of the heart and the vanity of the mind are the two most common ways to describe what it means to be blind.

I know that may sound like a strange thing, but these words have always stuck with me because they remind us all how important it is to see well and see clearly.

Seeing other people’s perspectives will allow you to understand them better. Now go out there and start seeing things!

Vanity keeps persons in favor of themselves who are out of favor with all others.

What Is The Most Powerful Things U Can Do2?

“One of the most powerful things we can do for our wellbeing is to take positive actions.

This means that if you’re feeling down, just deciding to go for a walk and get some fresh air can lead to a better mood.”

“We all have tough times in life where we need support from others, but it’s important not to forget about ourselves and focus on what we can control.

Positive action is something only you can do for yourself.”

“There are many ways you can add more positivity into your life: eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, laugh with friends, or spend time alone doing activities you enjoy.”

That said…”positive actions don’t always come easily at first…but you can find something that warms your heart while giving you a reason to get out of bed each day

Be that as it may… if you can’t find a reason to smile today, just think about how many suffering people would trade places with you in a heartbeat.”

Suffering is everywhere…the most powerful things

This means that if you’re feeling down, just deciding to go for a walk and get some fresh air can lead to a better mood.”

Recognizing this fact can help a person de-center from his own suffering and remember that he suffers along with everyone else.

Moreover…I have found that positive actions might be small and seem insignificant at first;

But they have the power to change your mood from bad to good.

It can be as simple as complimenting someone on their outfit or giving a stranger a smile.

Additionally, I have found that when you do something nice for others, it makes them feel good, which makes you feel good too!

Ideally, spread happiness and joy among those around you. So why not give it a try?

Even if just for five minutes! You’ll love what happens next!

While the road to happiness is full of ups and downs, staying positive can always be done.

In contrast…one of the most powerful things we can do for our well-being is to take positive actions.

Final note…the most powerful things

It is no secret that Poverty and Childhood Hunger is clearly significant problems in this country.

Nevertheless, you may not be aware of how these issues affect a child’s brain development.

Take a closer look at the facts below…

According to the Census Bureau, the federal poverty level for a family of four in 2020 was $26,200.

Even families earning twice that much are considered low-income by most experts, and many struggles to make ends meet.

More than 34 million Americans, or 10.5%, live in poverty, according to the 2019 U.S. Census.

Of those children, 12 million are living in poverty.

This number has dropped in recent years, but the Coronavirus pandemic put an enormous burden on already-struggling families, and it is not yet clear what effect it will have.

To survive, low-income families have to depend on the programs below so that their children can get nourishing meals.

Federal Food Programs

One of the most effective ways to help families and children is through federal nutrition programs.

Some of the nutrition programs you may be familiar with are SNAP, WIC, and the national school lunch program. These are critical lifelines for families in need.

I hope this blog post inspires others to take on the power of positive actions.

No Kid Hungry Organization is one of many places where positive actions can take place.    https://www.nokidhungry.org/who-we-are/hunger-facts

JUST BE YOURSELF!

A Shitty Friday…5 Examples For U!

shitty fridayA Shitty Friday can be the best day of the week, unless you’re unemployed, in which case it might be your worst day of the week.

For me, Friday used to be a release from work stress and an opportunity to have some fun with friends or take care of chores around my house.

But for others, Fridays are just another reminder that they still don’t have a job.

For those who have a job, it’s the same old grind every week.

You get up and go to work, but you can’t shake that feeling that today will be shitty.

And…

Friday has arrived! Here are 5 reasons this day stinks:

1) Traffic on your way home from work is terrible.

2) Your significant other cussed you out for lying.

3) All the best restaurants in town are closed.

4) There’s nothing good on TV except reruns.

5) You have a huge presentation coming up on Monday at 8 am.

Nothing beats a Friday! It’s the end of the week.

Although your Friday was shitty… it’s time to take a deep breath and relax. But, before you do that, let’s give thanks for the week that was.”

Fridays: what’s not to love? As a result, the weekend is finally here, and there will be relaxation, sleep. shitty fridayfood, and movies.

I wish you a wonderful weekend!

In Conclusion,

It’s Friday, one more day closer to Saturday and Sunday–two days where you can do whatever you want with no stress!

But now and then, things don’t go as planned on a Friday evening. Some people have been working all week long with no breaks, and some people are going through challenging personal issues;

While others suffer from chronic illnesses like anxiety or depression that make even simple tasks seem overwhelming… which brings me to my point about how important mental health is to every one of us!

“All righty then! Let’s get back to our regularly scheduled programming and see where we left off last time…Read more

Have a great weekend!

I know each day is a gift, but where’s the receipt for Mondays? I want to exchange it for another Friday

Charley Brewster Ross…Was His Name!

Charley Brewster RossCharley Brewster Ross was a young child who lived in Philadelphia, Pa, and on July 1, 1870, they kidnapped him at four years old.

The story is interesting because it’s one of the earliest cases where ransom notes were used to extort money from the victim’s family in the kidnapping.

Imagine having your child disappear, never to be seen again?

Well… that’s what happened to Charley Brewster Ross parents.

Audacious child abduction news began in 1874.

To clarify…in 1874, two men in a horse-drawn buggy pulled into an affluent neighborhood in Philadelphia and befriended two little boys who were playing in front of their home.

They visited and talked with Charley Ross and Walter Ross during the following five days, giving them candy to gain their confidence.

Another critical point that Walter told was that two men driving on the Lane in a buggy had given him and his brother Charley candy on the following days:

  1. Saturday, June 27, 1870
  2. Monday, June 29;
  3. Tuesday, June 30;

Then once again…

On July 1, 1874, the men pulled up as usual, but this time they offered to take the boys to buy candy and fireworks for the upcoming Independence Day holiday, and the boys agreed to go.

After driving away, the men stopped and sent Walter into a shop to buy fireworks alone.

But when the boy came out, he discovered that Charley and the two men in the buggy were nowhere to be seen. He looked up and down the street and did not see them.

A little girl who saw confirmed Walter’s story about the men giving him the money and directed him to the cigar store.

Likewise, she saw the kidnappers drive up to Palmer Street to the first small street, turn the corner, and disappear.

Sadly, that was the last time Walter saw his brother.

Walter Ross’ father, Christian Ross, received the first of 23 ransom letters from the kidnappers shortly after returning home. The letters demanded $20,000 for Charley’s release.

However, despite living in a wealthy part of town, the family’s fortunes diminished. So, he refused to pay.

Because of his refusal, people have made a torrent of negative comments toward him.

In response to the negativity, … Christian Ross responded by writing a book in which he explained himself and described his anguish at the loss of his son and the toll it took on his family.

Having been unable to afford the ransom, it forced him to go to the Police.

That said, the Police would arrest a gang member, William Westervelt, who was a disgraced Philadelphia police officer and brother-in-law of William Mosher, another kidnapper…

Anyway, Westervelt insisted he was not involved in the actual kidnapping; however, the Police were convinced he was complicit in the abduction.

The confession

Despite being in prison waiting for his trial, Westervelt told Mr. Ross that Charley had been alive when William Mosher was killed.

In August 1875, Westervelt went on trial for the kidnapping of Charley Ross.

Despite being found not guilty of kidnapping, he was convicted of conspiracy and sentenced to six years in prison.

Christian Ross’ ordeal didn’t end with the deaths of Mosher and Douglas or the incarceration of Westervelt.

In 1876, he wrote The Father’s Story of Charley Ross, the Kidnapped Child, and poured all the profits from the book into the search for his son.

They posted thousands of circulars about the abduction and pictures of Charley Brewster Ross in police stations, railroad stations, post offices, and ship ports across the nation.

Additionally, over several decades, the Ross family spent over $60,000 looking for Charley Brewster Ross;

following leads and investigating over a thousand imposters who claimed to be their missing son.

One of the last and most enduring claims was that of a carpenter named… Gustave Blair. Charley B. Ross

Amazingly, in 1939, an Arizona court ruled that Gustave Blair was Charley Ross;

Based on his testimony in court, he told the jury that he vaguely remembered being held prisoner in a cave as a small boy;

And the family who raised him revealed to him that he was a kidnapping victim.

After the ruling, Gustave Blair officially changed his name to Charley Ross and traveled to Pennsylvania, but the Ross family refused to accept him.

Meanwhile, the kidnapping of little Charley Ross was one of the great crimes of the Gilded Age, yet what happened to him remains a mystery.

To this day, Charley’s fate remains unknown despite decades of efforts;

and the tantalizing revelations of one burglar moments before his death that he had been involved in the kidnapping and knew the boy’s whereabouts.

Final Thoughts…Read more

Sadly, those men took Charley from his family at four. They died, never knowing what happened to their son.

The heartbreaking story may have happened over. a century ago… but it is still worth talking about!

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.

Disappeared July 1, 1874 (aged 4)

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.

Status: Missing for 147 years, four months, and 12 days

The world is a scary place. There are people out there who want to harm children, and these crimes happen every day

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, “In recent years, stranger abductions have accounted for approximately one-third of all missing children cases where the circumstances could be determined” (NCMEC).

Child abduction by strangers isn’t as prevalent as other forms, but it can still happen and should be discussed so we can recognize potential dangers before they even arise!

Tell your children...

Don’t take candy from strangers.
