The insane, the stupid, and the lousy

The insaneThe insane, the stupid, and the lousy weather destroy, spoiled,
by the so-called Conservative mindset.

Is aid to the poor a movement towards equality, or is it an inequitable burden for the middle and upper classes?

Does permission for abortion defend American women’s freedom, or does it promote the end of human life?

Or elected officials representatives of the people, or is it only for themselves? These and many other issues reflect a wide range of political attitudes that shape the way Americans participate in government and politics.

Are you a Liberal? What are you, Conservative?

Political labeling becomes unclear as to the boundaries between liberalism and conservatism fade. Some people think all in one category or the other.

The words “liberal” and “conservative” mean different things to different people, but they generally describe contrasting political ideologies, worldviews that reflect an individual’s values and ideas.

In general, a Liberal ideology favors the government’s power to regulate the economy and ensure fairness and equal opportunity.

For the most part, liberals believe that the government should do more to help minorities, the homeless, women, the elderly, and society’s “have-nots.” They also think that the government should provide foreign aid to countries in need.

Additionally, Liberals are generally supportive of a tax system that taxes the wealthy more than the poor, while the Conservatives care more about protecting their wealth by paying fewer taxes.

The Conservatives may have at some point in time believed in justice and equal opportunity for all.

However, today’s CONSERVATIVES believe that individuals are primarily responsible for their well-being; and the only responsibility of the government is to ensure people have the freedom to pursue their dreams.

In the real world, how do you pursue dreams when you lack the resources to do so? It’s a known fact that most people live paycheck to paycheck without extra resources to attempt following any of their damn dreams.

Meanwhile, why is that government support come from the local and state levels, preferably from families and private charities? It’s tax dollars that fund the government; therefore, it should be tax dollars that support the have nots.

In the eyes of a Conservative government, it infringes on individual rights. The RICH MAN RIGHTS TO BE EXACT.

Election scandals and apathy…The Insane

Most recall the public’s skepticism about the Watergate scandal that shook America in the early 1970s. Then, former President Richard Nixon said goodbye as he embarked into his helicopter following his resignation in 1974.

Since the mid-sixties, Americans have become more and more frustrated with the government? The negativism is attributed to the disillusionment caused by the government’s handling of the issues.

Former President Lyndon Johnson was accused of lying to the public about the progress of the war. In contrast, former President Richard Nixon got caught in a web of deception in the cover-up of the 1972 break-in of the Democratic Party’s campaign office in the Watergate building.

The IRAN-CONTRA SCANDAL tainted former President Reagan’s administration, and former President Bill Clinton was charged with obstructing evidence in a civil lawsuit against him.

. The past presidents have made mistakes that once had an enduring impact until the Trump Administration was sworn into the White House. All of the past scandals became mute and less harmful to the country. Trumps’ scandals and inundated the airways creating a more significant impact on the people and the government.

He gave racists a platform and strength to come out of hiding. They did it gleefully and openly, with no white robes and masks hiding their faces.

The media is responsible for reporting information on government and politics.

Back then, it was the 1974 Watergate hearings broadcasted on television. Millions of Americans followed the procedure and anticipated responses to essential issues. “Like were top White House officials involved in the deception, and how much did Nixon know about what happened? Did he lie to the people?

Fortunately, Nixon was forced to resign due to the overwhelming public opinion of him. Not so for POTUS 45. Twice impeached, twice not convicted, incited an insurrection based on nothing but INSIDIOUS lies that poisoned the minds of gullible stupid lunatics and tried hard to disenfranchise millions of people of color votes with STOP THE STEAL madness.

In conclusion, the insidious lie continues to loom overhead with bumbling elected politicians engaging in catastrophe terrorist activities without any accountability.

It is SCANDALOUS

Mae Mallory

Mae MalloryMae Mallory (June 9, 1927 – 2007)

Mae Mallory was a civil rights activist known for her support of armed self-defense and school integration.

Most of all, She was the founder of the “Harlem 9,” a group of nine Black mothers formed to protest the inferior conditions of schools in New York City during the 1950’s.

More importantly, Mallory argued that despite the ruling of Brown vs. Board of Education, the zoning policies of the NYC Board of Education, essentially ensured that segregation in the city was still very much in place.

The Harlem  Nine

Formed in 1956, the Harlem 9’s goal was “open transfer” for their children, which would allow them to attend integrated schools outside of their district .

One that did not suffer from overcrowding, poor building conditions, and inexperienced teachers.

The work of the Harlem 9 included legal action against the city and state of New York, boycotts, and public protests.

Mae Mallory and the Harlem 9 eventually secured the right to transfer their children to integrated schools with a victory in the courts in 1960.

Which included the concession of the NYC Board of Education that they had indeed perpetuated “de facto” segregation in their boroughs.

She also supported numerous other civil rights initiatives.

Which included work with Robert F. Williams and the NAACP during the Freedom Rides in 1961.

There she hosted SNCC student riders who were participating in Monroe, North Carolina.

Accusations of kidnapping

Despite having actually let the couple stay in her home to avoid any danger from armed protesters, who had gathered in response to the Freedom Riders;

Mallory was accused of kidnapping the white couple.

Consequently, Fear of retaliation from the KKK, Mallory fled to Cleveland, Ohio, from  North Carolin where she was eventually captured after six weeks in hiding.

Conversely, while in prison, she worked to publicize her case ; as well as shed light on the experiences of Black women in America;

nd advocate for separatism, socialism and self defense through speeches, letters, and press releases.

She was extradited back to North Carolina to stand trial for the kidnapping charge in 1964.

The all-white jury sentenced her to 16-20 years in prison; but she was later exonerated in 1965 due to racial discrimination during the jury selection.

Mae Mallory continued her activism until her death in 2007. Throughout her life Mae Mallory consistently called for self-defense, liberation;

And  that Black people be masters of their own fate – militant forms of Black Power often associated with men.

She participated in demonstrations against the Vietnam War, the U.S. occupation of the Dominican Republic.

To That end, she was a persistent advocate for self-defense and the voices of working-class black women in the fight for civil rights.

Dred Scott -N- My Passion To Learnn

It’s my passion to learn as much as possible about my people—
Those that were taken from their homeland in Africa and brought here to be held in bondage.

Some people want to forget about what those settlers did when they came to this part of the world. They took the land from Native Americans, herd then off onto reservation…all that weren’t massacred.

Moreover, they took human beings and turned them into a property. I found my Great Great Great Grandfather listed as property in his master’s will. I wondered if he ever thought about freedom while he was enslaved?

Accordingly, I will never learn the answer to my question concerning my enslaved ancestors–however, I can understand how other outspoken enslaved people felt.

Meet Dred and Harriet Scott

In 1846 an enslaved man named Dred Scott and his wife, Harriet sued for their freedom in a St. Louis city court based on these two facts–they had lived with their owner, an army surgeon, at Fort Snelling, then in the free Territory of Wisconsin.

The Scotts’ sued for their freedom on the grounds of being held in bondage, extended periods in the free territory, then returned to slave states.

Subsequently, Courts had ruled in the past that way. However, the straightforward lawsuit between two private parties became an 11-year legal struggle that became one of the most notorious decisions ever issued by the Supreme Court.

As a matter of fact, the U.S. Supreme Court stated that slaves were not citizens of the United States and, therefore, could not expect any protection from the Federal Government or the courts in its ruling.

Moreover, the opinion also stated that Congress had no authority to ban slavery from a Federal territory.

By the time the case reached the High Court, it had come to have enormous political implications for the entire nation. Slavery had become the single most explosive issue in American politics.

Most important of all, that decision moved the country closer to Civil War.

The upshot of Scott v. Sanford’s decision–overturned by the 13th and 14th amendments to the Constitution, which abolished slavery and declared all persons born in the United States to be citizens.

African American Women and the 19th Amendment

African American Women

African American Women And The 19th Amendment
Women Emma Amos, my great-grandmother, witnessed the national adoption of the 19th Amendment, which recognized women’s right to vote.

The 1920 census record tells me that my GG Emma was of voting age. It also tells me she was married to Elbert Amos.

In the autumn of 1920, following the ratification of the 19th Amendment, millions of women nationwide cast their ballots in state and federal elections for the first time. At 28 years old, my great-grandmother was of voting age.

As such, Black women, like GG Emma, experienced firsthand the ways the Amendment fell short. That year, my great-grandmother lived in River Falls, Alabama, and worked as a farm laborer. Whether or not she voted was influenced by her local and state jurisdictions’ law s and how local officials enforced those laws.

Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, African American women, like those pictured here, formed their groups to focus on their specific interests. They also worked alongside African American men.

If GG Emma voted that year, her choice for president was likely the Republican candidate, Warren G. Harding. Since the American Civil War, African Americans had strongly supported the “Party of Lincoln” for its stance on racial equality. The Democratic candidate, James M. Cox, did not receive significant support from the African American community.

Within the suffragist movement, African American suffragists faced discrimination. Nannie Helen Burroughs, pictured above holding the banner, was one of many black (women) suffragists who fought against racial and gender inequalities.

Finally, the Republican Party today is not the Party of Lincoln. On March 20, 1854, a meeting in Wisconsin was the founding meeting of the Republican Party.

The Republicans rapidly gained supporters in the North, and in 1856 their first presidential candidate, John C. Fremont, won 11 of the 16 Northern states. By 1860, most Southern slave states were publicly threatening secession if the Republicans won the presidency.

In November 1860, Republican Abraham Lincoln was elected president over a divided Democratic Party, and six weeks later, South Carolina formally seceded from the Union. Within six more weeks, five other Southern states had followed South Carolina’s lead.

In April 1861, the Civil War began when Confederate shore batteries under General P.G.T. Beauregard opened fire on Fort Sumter in South Carolina’s Charleston Harbor.

Life Whispers Pay Attention Please!

Life whispers pay attentionDifficulties come when you don’t pay attention to life’s whisper. Life always whispers to you first, but if you ignore the whisper, sooner or later you’ll get a scream. Oprah Winfrey, read more

Something to think

What is Life Whispers? They’re the little reminders that life is worth living, even when it’s tough. I’ve found them in some of the most unlikely places.

“I was sure I had it all figured out.

Pay attention to the “life whispers” you’ll find that they are trying to tell you something. Life whispers are different from life shouts. You have to listen closely, look carefully, and feel gentle with your heart to hear it.

Life Whispers are messages that the universe sends you. These are usually delivered in times of trouble or uncertainty, but they can also be pleasant surprises! Life whispers surround us every day, and we don’t notice them because our expectations blind us.
