Black History Facts..since January 2021, according to a list compiled by Education Week, 37 states have introduced measures to limit how race and discrimination can be taught in public school classrooms, and 14 have imposed laws or rules to enforce these restrictions.

In July 2021, Gov. Chris Sununu of New Hampshire signed a bill that says no public employer should teach that people of any race or gender were “inherently racist, sexist, or oppressive.”

As an example, the proposed law in New Hampshire would prohibit teachers from teaching negative accounts of the founding and history of the United States.

In Oklahoma, like in several other states:

  • Educators are prohibited from teaching that people are responsible for past actions by other members of the same race or sex.

  • And from telling students that people should feel “discomfort, guilt, anguish or any other form of psychological distress” based on their race or sex.

The bills also address transparency in the curriculum.

Several states have introduced bills, including Missouri and Indiana.

It requires schools and teachers to make instructional materials available for parents to review.

It goes one step further in Florida by giving parents “private rights of action” to sue if they believe their children are being taught critical race theory in schools.

Some laws passed during the 2021 legislative session have already faced legal challenges. Read More

They have filed lawsuits… in Oklahoma and New Hampshire claiming that the laws deprive teachers of free speech and equal protection rights.

Vivien Thomas and assistants operating on a laboratory dog …Vivien Thomas · The Blue Baby Operation · Exhibits: The Sheridan Libraries and Museums (jhu.edu)Vanderbilt University, c. 1930s.

In January of 1930, Vivien Thomas took a job in Alfred Blalock’s Vanderbilt University Hospital laboratory.

Thomas was supposed to be in his first semester of college, and had planned to become a doctor, but his life savings were wiped out in the stock market crash that set off the Great Depression.

Blalock’s lab was his best chance to pursue medical work, though his contributions often went unacknowledged.

Thomas quickly learned to perform the surgical procedures and chemical determinations needed for their experiments, to calculate the results, and to keep precise records.

Famous Black Women …Black History Facts.

black history facts
Harriet Tubman

Although black history is often overlooked, many famous black women have shaped American history.

Here are some of the most influential black women in history:

– Harriet Tubman was an abolitionist, Underground Railroad conductor, and humanitarian. She helped free over 700 enslaved people through the Underground Railroad.

Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white person on December 1, 1955, which started the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The boycott lasted nearly 381 days and led to the desegregation of public transportation in Alabama.

Facts about Malcolm X

– Born Malcolm Little, Malcolm X joined the Nation of Islam and adopted the name, Malcolm X.

– Prior to his assassination in 1965, they had offered him a position to become a Muslim minister at a mosque in the north.

Conclusion

Sadly, some states try to downplay the sins of their forefathers.

As a result, they appear and act like enslavers today.

The history of white people is false, according to those who contest the portrayal of them as people who built their empire on the backs of the enslaved.

My opinion, as a descendant of slaves, is that you are morally bankrupt. You are infuriating and full of BS.

What the hell are you talking about?

You can try to cover up all the wrongs of the past…you won’t succeed. Why? There is too much evidence.

Anyway…

I hope this post has inspired you to learn more about the history of black people in America.

The Circle Of Life: A Perspective On Things.

Circle of life

The circle of life is hard. There are so many facets to living, and it is easy to become overwhelmed with responsibilities.

Sometimes, it feels like there are no breaks or holidays. You do what you have to do for the surrounding people, only stopping when you are too tired to go on.

Then you start all over again the next day with a fresh set of worries and problems.

It’s not always easy to come up with new perspectives on life. But if you look at it from a different angle, maybe your perspective will change too.

Here are some ways how your life can be viewed differently:

The Circle of Life!

The Circle of Life is a perspective on things. It’s a concept from an African philosophy that life is cyclical and continuous.

This perspective sees life as a never-ending journey that doesn’t end with death. The Circle of Life has no beginning and no end, and it’s just a continuous cycle.

Growing up, we’re taught to see life as linear: it starts at birth and ends with death.

But the truth is, this is not the way life works. It can be seen as linear if you look at each event happening in your lifetime, but when taken as a whole, it’s more circular than anything else.

In reality, your life does not start at birth and end with death; instead, events happen all the time, birth, and death too!

It just goes on and on in an endless cycle with no true beginning or endpoint.

The Circle of Life perspective may change how you view past events in your life.

Imagine how far back your family history goes (and even before that!) – people have experienced these same feelings before!

Likewise, they will happen again in the future as well. All of this combined-how life is circular rather than linear- might make things seem less frustrating.

The Circle of Life…Perspective is Everything!

One way to look at life is as a circle. Life starts and ends with the same people, but the experiences you have in between are different.

You can’t predict what will happen or how things will go, but you know that you’ll end up back to where you started, albeit with some different experiences.

Maybe you’re not even looking at life correctly.

If you’re not happy as it is, then maybe you’re looking at life from the wrong perspective.

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut and not see any other options. But there are always different ways to see your life.

Maybe you feel like you don’t have enough time for yourself?

But if you think about it, you do have time for yourself.

You choose to give that time away to people or activities that may not be what you want to do.

There are many perspectives of life, and it’s easy to get stuck on the negative ones.

But sometimes, changing your perspective can change your outlook too.

You Cannot Control All the Things.

Whether it’s your finances, relationships, or family, you are not in control of everything.

This might seem troubling at first. But the truth of the matter is that you cannot be in control.

It is just not possible. And this doesn’t make you a weaker person; it means that life will happen to you whether you like it or not.

Realizing this is difficult. Every life event feels like a cause for concern. When people need you, you want to be able to help them.

But sadly, we cannot control everything, and we should embrace rather than fight that fact.

The Circle of Life…

It’s the wheel of fortune
It’s the leap of faith
“It’s the band of hope
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding… The Lion King”

All life goes in a circle, around and around, you started at one place, and then came right back to it again.”

-Ann Petry.

Your Past Doesn’t Define You.

People’s most common mistake is letting the Past define who they are.

Your Past does not define you. For example, just because you grew up in an abusive home doesn’t mean that’s how your future will turn out.

Even if you were abused or had a terrible childhood, you can still turn around and create a different life for yourself.

Maybe you could have gone to school instead of getting married at eighteen because your parents forced you to. Perhaps you could have followed your dreams instead of living someone else’s life.

Maybe you could have gone back to school, started a business, or moved away from the only place you’ve ever known.

You don’t have to feel stuck in your situation because no matter how bad it may seem now, it will eventually change…

You Have a Choice in How You Live Your Life!

In the circle, the circle of life

.

It’s not always bad to be self-aware. Sometimes, it can help you change your life.

There are an infinite number of perspectives on life out there. And it is up to you which perspective you want to apply to your own life.

You have the power to change your perspective and live your life in a way that suits you best.

If you’re unhappy with how things are going, then maybe it’s time to take a step back and figure out what changes need to be made.

It’s never too late for you to turn things around. Maybe this perspective will help:

– You live once, so live like it’s your last day

– Be grateful for every opportunity

– Live in the moment

– Know when enough is enough

– Focus on others instead of yourself

– Don’t dwell on past mistakes

Conclusion

You can spend your entire life worrying about what could go wrong, but that won’t do you any good.

At the end of the day, you must understand that life is a gift, and it’s up to you to make the most of it.

So take a step back from those worries and doubts.

Look at your life from a different perspective.

And see if it doesn’t seem a little brighter.

Criticism Or Fault-Finding… the First Look!

criticism and fault-findingWe all appreciate compliments. They make us feel good, and they’re a great way to start the day.

But what about criticism?

Receiving criticism can feel like a personal attack, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

There’s no denying that criticism can be tough to take.

Nevertheless,

If you’re able to appreciate and learn from it, it can be a powerful tool for growth.

With this in mind—If you’re like me, you probably think of criticism as a four-letter word.

I don’t like to hear it, and I’m certainly not the best at giving it.

Also, I’ve learned over the years that positive or negative feedback allows you to see yourself through other people’s eyes and can help you improve your skills.

So the next time someone offers you criticism, good or bad, try not to take it personally and instead use it to your advantage.

It may surprise you how much you can learn!

So, if you’re looking to become more resilient in the face of critique, read on!

The next time… you receive some constructive feedback, thank the critic for their input – it may surprise you at how much you can learn from them.

But here’s the thing:

Criticism can be one of your most excellent tools for growth.

And if it’s not such an excellent critique, remember that you can always discard it—but at least you tried!

Having said that…Fault Finding

In any society, critical analysis is important, and every person is a fair target for constructive criticism.

Finally, join me in thanking those who have taken the time to criticize us constructively.

Honest, critical feedback can strengthen your bond rather than degrade it.”

—Justin Rosenstein, Asana co-Founder

The habit of constantly pointing out people’s faults is most likely a reflection of what you’ve struggled with in childhood.

It is a manifestation of an insecurity about the very things that you judge other people for most often.

Some people who have difficulty taking responsibility for their own actions have a tendency to project onto others that with which they struggle.

In fact, the avoidance of responsibility and a difficulty apologizing to people you’ve hurt are the trademarks of the constant fault finder.Read More

The Essence Of Yourself..Find It!

the essence of yourselfThe essence of yourself is very important. However, the human tendency to body shame or insult other people without cause is prevalent, but it’s never an appropriate way of thinking.

It is unfortunate…

People often hurt each other by commenting on their physical appearance;

This goes for both men and women alike!

You can never go wrong by doing this.

Regardless of who said it first, the best thing to do if someone has said something terrible, such as “you look fat,” is to apologize profusely.

What comes out of your mouth does not determine how deep those words go into them.

Body shaming and Insulting other people without cause is a terrible thing to do.

Each of us is just a human being.

We all have flaws, and we should all be treated with compassion, not criticism, no matter where we go!

By the same token, people need to be mindful, using it as a personal growth and development tool.

Also, mindfulness can help everyone live their best life now—not just those of us who have been practicing all along…

Being mindful is a technique.

That allows you to focus on the present moment without judgment.

Perhaps…

It was by accident, or maybe your search for happiness led you home – to mindfulness

By practicing this, we will learn to observe our thoughts and feelings instead of getting lost in them;

Not only will we learn what was good and bad about these moments, but we’ll realize what can happen during any day when we don’t dwell on the past.

Mindfulness is all about being present.

And while some people are born more mindful than others, it doesn’t take much effort to cultivate your sense of self-awareness and acceptance with these practices.

I found mindfulness accidentally when I was looking for ways to be happier;

But…

Now that I’ve started regularly practicing and being successful, there’s no turning back!

As a matter of fact… finding the essence of yourself is a fantastic way to focus on the present and not judge people.

In addition, the essence of mindfulness is simply observing without judgment or reaction.

The essence of yourself is to be mindful!

Over the years, I’ve learned that mindfulness meditation is one of many ways to connect with the soul.

Ultimately, everything in life comes down to you… what you say, do, or do not do impacts you sincerely.

Even if you follow every rule in the book, things may still go wrong.

The key is never to stop doing the right thing.

So what’s my point?

Remember, showing up late and imperfectly is better than not showing up at all.

Furthermore,

Keep in mind that avoiding complicated conversations keeps you comfortable; confronting them makes you grow!

Now, this is important in uncovering the essence of yourself…

  • With personal strengths comes the balance of personal weaknesses, which is necessary for mental stability.
  • In the absence of individual strengths or a purpose, mental strength can cause negative behaviors, including victimizing, being predictable, becoming lazy, and always looking for shortcuts.
  • Keeping an eye out for imbalances will help you adjust when it comes right down to it; behaviors and thoughts matter.

Last but not least, if you are confident and happy with yourself, you won’t feel the need to talk about other people’s bodies.

A Morally Bankrupt Underhanded Coward

morally bankruptMorally Bankrupt…unfortunately, some people may never recognize they have reached the point of moral bankruptcy.

Denial, rationalization’s first cousin, maintains their perception of reality.

Denial helps a person maintain fiction in the cold light of fact. Denial is a perversely remarkable creative ability that carries a tremendous potential cost.

Donald Trump is a morally bankrupt underhanded coward. The man is a liar, a cheat, and a fraud.

Please allow me to clarify…

During his tenure as President, he was an embarrassment to our nation and a disgrace to the Office of the President.

This man is a stain on America! He was a disaster waiting to happen.

I don’t think he’s fit to be President.
Humans shouldn’t be around him.
He is not qualified to be President.

In fact, he should never sit behind that desk in the oval office again.

Case in point…

The National Archives discovered that several of the documents it provided to the House committee investigating the Capitol attack on January 6 had been torn up.

After former President Donald Trump tore up the documents, Government officials taped the pieces together and then delivered them to the records agency.

Despite his insistence on destroying administrative records, Trump’s conduct represents the latest example in a widespread campaign to undermine transparency and accountability in the presidency.

KEY POINTS
White House sent fifteen boxes of governmentmorally bankrupt records to former President Donald Trump’s resort-home Mar-a-Lago has been retrieved by the National Archives and Records Administration.

As required by the Presidential Records Act, those records should have been handed over directly to NARA once Trump left office.

Meanwhile, the House January 6 committee is working to determine whether former President Donald J. Trump had anything to do with the proposal to seize voting machines after the 2020 election.

They wanted to create a legal basis for such an extreme course of action to be taken by national security agencies.

And Now…

Attorney General Letitia James is being sued by Donald Trump, who asks the court to end her long-running investigation into Trump’s business practices.

According to James, Trump and his company have repeatedly attempted to delay her investigation.

Moreover, Trump has indicated he will consider pardoning defendants in the January 6 Capitol riot if he returns to the White House.

During a rally in Conroe, Texas, Trump said that “we will treat those people fairly” if he runs and wins, starting on January 6.

Then we will pardon them if pardons are necessary because they are being mistreated.

Although…
As of December 2021, 165 defendants pleaded guilty to misdemeanor offenses and were sentenced to six months in jail.

Prosecutors have said some hundreds of Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol were prepared for battle, wearing helmets and tactical gear.

Several were seen on video or in photos carrying baseball bats and other weapons.

The riot left the halls of Congress with broken windows, vandalized walls, and ransacked offices.

Undoubtedly, Trump is morally bankrupt, a piece of cake impeached by the House in the attack’s wake for “incitement to insurrection” but acquitted by the Senate.

As if that is not enough… he is hinting at another run for the White House.

The question is, what will he do if he gets a second term?

What will be his campaign promise be?

In short, when Donald Trump ran for President in 2016, he promised to drain the swamp in Washington.

Nevertheless, he brought the swamp to the White House…

Many advisers, family members, and appointees within his administration were accused of

A conflict of interest,
Power plays, etc.
Self-enrichment,
Ethical violations

Even if you follow every rule in the book, things may still go wrong.

The key is to never stop doing the right thing.

We can stop fighting. whatcha think about that?
