How you treat others

How You Treat Others: Shows Who You Are2!

How you treat othersHow You Treat Others: We’ve all heard the saying, “treat others as you would want to be treated.” In other words, if you want people to be kind to you, you should be kind to them.

It’s a simple concept, but it’s often forgotten because people can be so damn selfish and only think about themselves.

That is to say, “you reap what you sow.” So next time you’re tempted to be nasty towards another, remember what goes around comes around, right back at you.

To clarify, it means that if we sow bad things, we reap bad things.

Therefore, the world would be much nicer and better if everyone just thought about how their actions affect others.

In the meantime…How you treat others!

  • If you want people to be honest with you, you should be honest with them.
  • Being respectful to others, you’ll be respected in return.
  • If you want people to be nice, you should be nice to them.
  • It’s all about giving out what you want back in return.

So next time you’re tempted to act in a way that is less than ideal (like a jackass), think about how you would want to be treated and act accordingly.

The world will be a better place for it. How you treat others

“To change the world’s needs is not in the hand of everyone. It is in the works of those who consciously contribute to making it a better place.

The bottom line is this…

Being generous and giving others the respect and attention you desire… increases the chances that they will do the same for you.

Another factor is some people want to be treated like a VIP; Guess what? Treat others like royalty if you want to be treated like a VIP. It’s the best way to ensure you get the treatment you want.

Conclusion:

The Golden Rule is one of the most important lessons we learn in life, and it’s just as relevant when interacting with people in general.

Overall, we all have the opportunity to positively impact the world by following this simple rule – give out what you want back in return.

Finally, what will you do today to show kindness and respect to those around you?

Lifes’ Lessons: 👁Looking Thru The Rear-view Mirror!

Lifes’ Lessons; As I sit here, looking through my rearview mirror, I can’t help but think about all the lessons life has taught me.

Whereas some were learned the easy way, while others were learned the hard way, no matter how they were acquired, each lesson has played an important role in shaping who I am.

Now– I’m not going to lie; there have been times when I wished I could go back in time. Mostly to fix careless mistakes that I’ve made.

But if I were to go back, I’d miss out on all the great things I learned.

So, if you’re feeling stuck and are struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel, allow me to share some of life’s most important lessons with you.

Roe v wade

Roe v Wade: 40 Years Later!

Roe vs wade
A hand holding a sign supporting pro-choice during a planned parenthood rally for abortion justice.

Is it a sad time in this country? I would say it is, and let me tell you why; Donald Trump

The Repugnant Beelzebub former President is an infuriating jackass, a pain in the ass, and is full of shit.

Trump is proving the platform for his followers to spew hatred and bigotry. It is even sadder when people listen to him and subscribe to his demented worldview!

The uncensored message…

Roe v wade

Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., is just one example of the type of person drawn to Trump’s message.

It is sad when an insidious idiotic sitting Congressman such as Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., is elected into a public office and can get away with saying repulsive bullshit such as “a historic victory for white life.”

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, that nutcase said preposterous bullshit at a campaign rally with former President Donald Trump.

As if that’s not enough…

A woman holding a sign in favor of the legalization of abortion
A woman holding a sign in favor of the legalization of abortion

Not only…but also, she thanked President Trump on behalf of all the MAGA patriots in America. For stacking the Supreme Court.

This kind of rhetoric has no place in our society, and it’s especially dangerous coming from someone in a position of power

Additionally, this kind of thinking is dangerous and exactly the kind of shit that Trump thrives on.

People are morally bankrupt…

It is time for people to wake the hell up and realize that Donald Trump is nothing but a charlatan who is more interested in dividing the country than he is in actually making America great again.

Sadly, this is just one example of the bigoted, divisive language that has become all too common under the Trump administration and since left lost his reelection bid.

His overtones…

Whether calling Mexicans “rapists” or referring to African nations as “shithole countries,” Trump has consistently shown contempt for anyone who doesn’t look like him or share his views.

This kind of xenophobic, racist rhetoric is not only disgusting, but it’s also destructive. It fuels hatred and division.

And it’s time to stop this kind of bigoted, divisive rhetoric; better yet, it should be outlawed in this country when it is morally wrong!

Here is an interesting point: ROE v. Wade

Why is banning abortions necessarily an issue when it is nobody’s business except the Woman seeking it while allowing narcissistic lunatics to occupy a public office is damn insane. How about making that a crime!

As you know, Roe vs. Wade was overturned, but there is something that is not widely publicized, and that is…

Who Was Jane Roe?Roe

Namely, she was Norma McCorvey, the Woman.

Code-named “Jane Roe,” McCorvey sought an abortion after becoming pregnant in 1969 but was stopped by Texas’ restrictive reproductive laws

For the most part, she once proclaimed herself as an advocate for choice and has since flip-flopped on the issue and claimed to be against abortion even though her personal experience helped spark this activism.

That said, McCorvey is a reminder that despite our best efforts, things can change.

She …started publicizing her story in the 1980s, advocating for the right to choose.

But in 1995, she made an abrupt about-face, declaring herself a born-again Christian and a staunch opponent of abortion.

Soon before she died in 2017, McCorvey changed her story again, claiming that she’d always supported abortion rights.

In an interview for the documentary AKA Jane Roe, she said“I took [anti-abortion advocates’] money and they put me out in front of the camera and told me what to say, and that’s what I’d said.”

When the documentary’s director asked if it “was all an act,” McCorvey replied, “Yeah. I was good at it, too.”

In her 1994 memoir I Am Roe, McCorvey offered a less cynical view of her place in the fight for reproductive rights.

Roe v wade

After thoughts…💐

Now that Roe v Wade has been overturned, in my opinion, it’s a damn good thing.

Norma McCorvey, the Woman behind Roe v. Wade, flip-flopped on the issue and claimed she was against abortion even though her personal experience helped spark the activism.

McCorvey’s story is all too common; people change their minds after they’ve been on the front lines of a movement.

The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade doesn’t mean abandoning the fight for abortion rights.

Still, it underscores the importance of starting fresh and listening to the voices of those who have experienced these issues firsthand.

What’s your take?🗣

Heart from christmas lights on wood background

Why Goodness Comes From the Heart!

Goodness comes from the heart
Heart on fire

Goodness comes from the heart…and the world is full of good people. In contrast, we know at least one person with a good heart.

However…

Sadly, the problem is that good people don’t always behave in a good way.

That said, some are selfish, some are rude, and many more are just damn unkind for no good reason.

 And this leaves us wondering:

Why? How can those who do so much good on the whole—who give to charity, help others, and care for others—be so bad 👿when it comes to smaller things?

The idiom best expresses this problem: “Actions speak louder than words. It seems that society has lost sight of what matters most in life and has become preoccupied with appearances, images, and status symbols.

We have all been victims of false kindness and disingenuous words that don’t align with our actions.

The questions to be answered are:

  • Why does this happen?
  •  What makes us behave in ways that don’t align with our actions?
  • Why do good people sometimes act unkindly
  • And perhaps most importantly: What can we do about it?

What is the problem with most of our society?

As our world becomes increasingly globalized, different cultures interact and influence one another, which can be wonderful.

Still, we must be aware of each other’s strengths and weaknesses to learn from each other without being negatively affected.

Also,

Western culture has given us many positive and enriching things—democracy, the rule of law, and respect for the individual—which has given rise to a society that is excessively focused on power, self-interest, and selfish gain.

Moreover,

We have become a society that is excessively focused on what is seen rather than unseen

In other words, we are so focused on the material things in life (status, appearances, financial gain, etc.) that we tend to ignore the things that make life truly worthwhile—such as love, kindness, and generosity.

Goodness
Dollars and heart

The reasons why good people behave badly?

People behave badly 🧛‍♂️because they’re unaware of their words and actions’ power.

They fail to connect what happens in one moment and how it later affects other aspects such as emotions or relationships.

Unpredictable mood swings caused by excessive pride might make you do things that aren’t nice so that others won’t see your errors.

Afterward, their unkindness would cause more harm than good for those who know better but choose ignorance over responsibility.

The power of the heart…❤️

Ultimately, there is something magical and mysterious about the heart. It is the source of all goodness, kindness, and love.

It is also the seat of our deepest wisdom and has the power to move us to greatness and inspire us to be our best selves.

 Yet,

It is also the seat of our deepest fears and anxieties; it is what makes us feel things deeply and passionately. 🫂

The heart holds our truest, deepest, and most genuine feelings and emotions.

🧠It is the place within us where our souls connect to our bodies and a place within us where we feel our deepest joy and sorrow. 😭

After all, the heart is what makes us human!!!

How to stop being bad and start being good again!

There are two ways we can change our behavior: we can change our thoughts or our actions.

If you make a mistake and find yourself behaving unkindly, then all you have to do is think of something or someone else.

 In other words,

if you behave unkindly, refocus your attention on someone else. Do something good for someone else, or help someone else in any way you can.

When you find yourself unkind, ask yourself why. Ask yourself what you are feeling and why you feel that way.

Make a conscious effort to change your behavior and actions, and ask for help if needed.

Goodness comes from the heartHeart
Heart

Conclusion

Goodness comes from the heart. It doesn’t come from what we do or from how we appear. It comes from the place deep inside us where we feel things the most profoundly.

The world is full of good people who want to do good things and be good people.

It comes down to one thing: the intention with which we do things. We can choose to do good things for the wrong reasons (e.g., to make ourselves look good), but that doesn’t make it good.

Whatever you do, do it to do good. Whatever you say, say it intends to do good.

Finally, whatever you think, think it to do good. And whatever you feel, feel it to do good. That’s all that matters in the long run, and goodness will follow.

Chronic Stress Effects: My Personal Story!

Chronic Stress
Angry and exasperated employee. Office worker smashing a table bat. Vector illustration

Chronic stress is a common response to the demands of modern life. Guess what? I learned the hard way what being overly stressed out is and what it can do to your life!

On the positive side…it manifests as stress symptoms such as:

  •  nervousness,
  • irritability,
  • muscle tension,

And so on — it revs up every part of the body and mind to keep you alive and alert.

In the same way, the negative effects of chronic stress build slowly over time, and it starts to limit your ability to enjoy simple pleasures in life or find inner peace until it’s too late.

But don’t despair! You can integrate effective practices into your life to help you manage chronic stress more effectively.

Check out my strategies to help you get unstuck.

Stress level reduced with problem and pressure solving tiny persons concept. Tired from frustration employee in job vector illustration. Angry tension in business lifestyle. Emotional overload scene.

At first glance…Take time to self-reflect!

As noted earlier, I learned the hard way what being overly stressed out is and what it can do to your life

Well, that is a long, drawn-out story which is another story together. However, I will give you a summary.

I worked at the FBI, and if you don’t know, the jobs are highly stressed daily. Particularly the programs dealing with informants.

That said, I was Program Manager for the S-Visa Program, a U.S. nonimmigrant visa that allows persons who witnesses or informants to assist law enforcement and provide information about a criminal organization in the U.S.

It is otherwise known as the “Snitch” visa. This visa is temporary and does not permit permanent living in the U.S.

Anyway, during my time with the FBI, I encountered many obstacles along the way;

The backlog of S-visa requests from the FBI and other Federal Law Enforcement Agencies at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Immigration Services was the biggest source of my stress and a huge obstacle that wasn’t easy to overcome.

Some I could get around; others were a constant source of stress that hijacked my coping ability and overwhelmed me.

I was suffering from chronic stress, which prompted the fall, causing a traumatic brain injury. (TBI)

So, what I am leading up to was my contact with a carpeted concrete floor in 2008. 😭

Subtle woman’s form in an unhappy pose double exposed with a monochromatic paint splatter photographic effect

One day, I passed out, hitting the back of my head. 🗣

See…I was unaware of being stressed out until it was much too late. It’s now 2022…14 years later, and I’m disabled mentally.

What’s more, I’m not crazy mentally; my brain doesn’t always function properly!

So the first step in managing your stress is to learn to “unsee”👁 your stress.

When you’re feeling stressed,😤Focus on what you’re doing.

Keep tabs on your mental “forest.” When you notice that your mind has wandered far off into the bushes, gently but firmly pull your attention back to the task.

It’s hard to do when you’re stressed because you don’t want to admit that you feel overwhelmed or you don’t want to admit that you’re struggling.

🆗…I know because it once was me!

Therefore, If you can take a step back, you’ll be surprised at how much better the situation🔥 will look when you are not stressed.🤯

Chronicstress
Mindfulness – modern line design style web banner on white background with copy space for text. A composition with a businesswoman meditating at work, sitting at the laptop, trying to release stress

Equally important…exercise and daily mindfulness practices!

Moreover, I found a quick and easy way to quiet your mind and regain control over your attention?

  1. Take up a few low-key exercises — yoga, walking, breathing exercises, or something else that helps you quiet your mind.
  2. You need to take a break from the demands of work or school and acknowledge that you’re feeling stressed.
  3. Finding a few minutes to yourself every day to do some gentle, mind-quieting exercise is an easy, effective way to do this.

In the long run, it’s helpful if you’re stressed, over-tasked, and overwhelmed.

It may seem small, but it can be tremendously comforting and helpful to the stressed-out mind.

The next step …Don’t dwell on the past!

Chronic
Woman sitting on the floor and doing meditation at home, relaxation and mindfulness concept

But, at the same time, you might be thinking, how in the hell can you move forward when your past keeps invading your every thought?

How do you move away from demons that played a part in  your descent into the dark places of your mind?

To begin with, you must become keenly aware of your mind path, your pattern of thinking backward, into the dark abyss of past mistakes and misfortunes, which only compound the situation…making you more stressed and anxious.

To put it more simply…stressed-out minds are more focused on the got darn negative. So the more time you spend dwelling on the past, the more you feel stressed and anxious.

Reach for a relaxed state of mind by focusing on the present moment. Think happy thoughts.

The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.”

William James

Simply put…

Stop thinking about the past and consider what you can do to move forward!

And be sure to…have a conversation with yourself!

The best way to deal with stress is by talking yourself down from the high horse with a sense of humor.

By the way, this will make you feel less stressed!

However, it’s not easy, but telling your brain that it needs a break will make you feel better in no time!

“Stress acts as an accelerator: it will push you either forward or backward, but you choose which direction.”

Chelsea Erieau

What Is Chronic Stress…Fight or Flight! What I experienced:⬇️

  • Namely, stress is the body’s reaction to harmful real or perceived situations.
  • A chemical reaction in your body allows you to act to prevent injury when you feel threatened.
  • The stress response reaction: is known as “fight-or-flight.”
  • During the stress response, your heart rate increases, breathing quickens, muscles tighten, and blood pressure rises.
  •  You are ready to act. It is how you protect yourself.

Now, some people are better able to handle stress than others. And, also not all stress is bad.

It comes down to…small doses of stress can help you accomplish tasks and prevent you from getting hurt.

Also, stress makes you slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the car in front of you. That’s a good thing.

Wrapping it up!Chronic

Chronic stress is almost inevitable if you’re a highly-pressured, high-performing individual in today’s modern world.

On the contrary, many people struggle with it, but it doesn’t have to be a barrier to your happiness and success.

It’s important to recognize that you’re feeling stressed, take a few moments to check-in and collect yourself, and then reach for a few low-key stress-reducing techniques.

These will help you regain control over your attention and get back to enjoying life.🌹

It took years to learn how to control the stress and not allow it to control me!
