Negative Thoughts…BRAIN POWER Mindset2!

Negative thoughts

I’m Just Asking?

Negative thoughts…How often do you think about your brain? Do you ever stop to wonder about its supreme cleverness? Or at least check-in and give it a little spring clean and recharge it from time to time?

It is simple to do and very effective! I suppose you are wondering–how in the hell can anyone check-in and give your brain a spring cleaning and a recharge?

Now listen to this very carefully—REMOVE ALL NEGATIVITY FROM YOUR LIFE! I– for one can’t tolerate very much negativism; Why? Well for starters:

  • Stress is not my dam FRIEND
  • It does not matter what other PEOPLE may think about me–trying to please others only creates unnecessary stress.
  • Life is much too short—so I no longer stress out over things that are out of my control; I just let the chips fall where they may.
  • I am JUST ME–THE PERSON, THAT GOD, WANTS ME TO BE.

Why is this important? My answer to this question is this: You can never be happy on the inside, and you will always walk around feeling sad, lonely and all alone. The reason I know this—hell, truth be told–that was me!

Did you get it —-that was ME?

Now I am curious, and want to adventure out into areas that was once held down by depression and stress. Yep, all those years I was suffering because of the negative influnences brought into my life as a child; and sadly followed me into adulthood.

Nevertheless

By being ‘curious’ and questioning everything, you force your brain to innovate and create new ideas. Which is why I write. Writing is a great way to release stress. That said—some people may not like what I have said, guess what?

In any case

To put it bluntly—-oh well, some will and others won’t. I am still gonna be ME. Telling you exactly as I feel, and keep it moving without hard feelings or regrets.

“Important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day.”

Albert Einstein

Negative Out-of-the-box thinking!!

It has been reported that stress and anxiety kill existing brain neurons and also stop new neurons from being created.

Moreover —Positive Thinking!

Research has shown that positive thinking, especially in the future tense, speeds up the creation of cells and dramatically reduces stress and anxiety. Therefore, it is best to get a handle on negative thoughts and make an effort to replace them with positive ones.

Not sure how to do it? Take a look at this article:

How to Turn Off Negative Thoughts in Your Mind

Final Thoughts:

More than anything else, I have learned that removing negative thoughts from your mindset, and improving your brain power is about habits, and habits take time to build. In the mean time, try to focus on those things that are most important to you. Changing what you can, and letting go of negative thoughts.

Giving your life a complete makeover with making changes to the way you think, make decisions and JUST BE YOURSELF.

The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can change the quality of their lives by changing the attitudes of their minds.” – William James

That’s it for now!

Life Whispers Pay Attention Please!

Life whispers pay attentionDifficulties come when you don’t pay attention to life’s whisper. Life always whispers to you first, but if you ignore the whisper, sooner or later you’ll get a scream. Oprah Winfrey, read more

Something to think

What is Life Whispers? They’re the little reminders that life is worth living, even when it’s tough. I’ve found them in some of the most unlikely places.

“I was sure I had it all figured out.

Pay attention to the “life whispers” you’ll find that they are trying to tell you something. Life whispers are different from life shouts. You have to listen closely, look carefully, and feel gentle with your heart to hear it.

Life Whispers are messages that the universe sends you. These are usually delivered in times of trouble or uncertainty, but they can also be pleasant surprises! Life whispers surround us every day, and we don’t notice them because our expectations blind us.

The Most dangerous Person in the Racism Industry

Racism–In the United States, there traditionally and systemically disadvantages amongst racial groups—across the country.

These social organizations and political forces have created ingrained issues that persist these days.

For the most part, In the last three years under the Trump administration, we have witnessed an increase in racism.

Consequently,  amid large nationwide protests over systemic racism and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd’s death, there has been a renewed effort to remove Confederate monuments and rename government facilities christened with rebel leaders’ names.

Yet—President Donald Trump said he is standing firm” with Confederate generals as Washington begins moving forward with renaming several military bases named after Confederate leaders.read more here

He is openly backing “dead, racist.

To be honest,  it has been one hundred fifty years since slavery ended and over and fifty years since the end of the Civil Rights Movement; we are still having to deal with the same racist matters.

We must remember:

Overcoming

When you get in a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.”

Beecher Stower

Encouragement

“It is time for us all to stand and cheer for the doer, the achiever – the one who recognizes the challenges and does something about it. ”
Vince Lombardi

Another Blatant Act of Racism

Another Blatant act of Racism— Stephanie Rapkin, of Shorewood, in Milwaukee, an attorney showed up at a peaceful protest on N. Oakland Ave, parked her car across the road, blocking the march, over the past weekend.
Ditching the car in the middle of the street, she got out and walked up to demonstrators, where she was caught on camera shouting at them;
Meanwhile, when asked to move her car, Rapkin spits on Eric Patrick Lucas III, 17, who helped organize the rally.

Eyewitnesses were stunned.

There is no other way to put this–Stephanie Rapkins is a redneck racist. This is crazy as hell, and my question is, WHY? There is no way this kind of racist stupid.
As a lawyer, she knows that what he did was wrong, right about now, I am sure that she knows that a HUGH RISKY DECISION was made. Especially after being arrested “for spitting on a juvenile male during a verbal dispute.

Racism Must End

According to the Shorewood Police Department, they charged her with disorderly conduct and battery. Her bail was set at $950. and not jailed because of COVID19.
Then on Sunday, she was arrested again after allegedly pushing a student from Ithaca College. The student was with a group protesting in front of
Rapkin’s residence. Enraged, she came out and engaged in a verbal altercation with the protesters.
This time she physically shoved him with her hand in the chest, and then she proceeded to go back into her house where she should have remained in the first place.
Of course, someone called the police, and she was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery.
She allegedly “became physically resistive” when one of the officers tried to handcuff her.
While struggling during the arrested, she allegedly kneed one of the officers in the groin.
She was led by her elbows backward from her home to the car
She was taken to the Shorewood Police Department to finish being booked.
State Rep. David Bowen, who attended the protest, has called for Rapkin to be disbarred, the Journal Sentinel reports.
Unfortunately, this lady will more than likely will not be disbarred. Things never change for black and brown human being. Let Punishment Fit The Crime!!

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.” -Barack Obama
“No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background or his religion. People learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” – Nelson Mandela

FREDERICK AUGUSTUS WASHINGTON BAILEY

Frederick Augustus Washington BaileyPortrait of Frederick Douglass / Public domain

Approximately, two hundred and two years ago Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey was born into slavery in the state of Maryland.

In turn— as a slave, he didn’t know the exact month, day, and year of birth— due to the fact, people of color were considered property.

Simply put, he spent his entire life not knowing his actual birthday. So—he chose February 14th, 1818. At the same time laws prevented those born into slavery, from learning how to read or write.

Nevertheless—that didn’t stop him, none whatsoever! Because over time he taught himself to read.

In Short…

Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey, (aka Frederick Douglas) wasn’t thrilled about being beat down for going against his master rules; so he decided to become a run away slave.

By and large being a fugitive slave—with no family, friends, or a place where he could feel free didn’t stop him. Simultaneously—He went from being a former slave—to becoming a prominent Abolitionist, speaker, author, and publisher.

That’s what I call resilience.

Facts —about Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey

  1. Started an anti -slavery news paper.

The North Star, later Frederick Douglass’ Paper, anti-slavery newspaper published by African American abolitionist Frederick Douglass.

The North Star, soon developed into one of the most influential African American anti-slavery publications of the pre-Civil War era.

The name of the newspaper paid homage to the fact that escaping slaves used the North Star in the night sky to guide them to freedom.

WRITTEN BY: The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica

Equally important is the fact that:

2. He wrote several autobiographies:

  • He described his experiences as a slave in his 1845 autobiography, Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave.
  • My Bondage and My Freedom
  • Life and Times of Frederick Douglass, which covers events during and after the Civil War.

The Women’s Right Movement

Eventually —Frederick Douglass became so famous within the women’s rights movement, in 1872 he was nominated as running mate, and Vice President Candidate of the United States at the Equal Rights Party convention.

Meanwhile—in 1888, he received one vote from the Kentucky Delegation at the Republican Convention in Chicago.

As a result —he became the first African American to be nominated as a U.S. presidential candidate for a major political party.

Not to mention, becoming the first African American to be listed on a presidential election ballot.

Without question—Frederick Douglass is a prime example of how to overcome obstacles; a man that had a desire to learn, a longing to be a free man and the guts to take actions.

“I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong.”

Frederick Douglass
